a-ha (Artist) Format: Audio CD Classic Rock Editorial Review
True North is a polarizing album by a-ha that has received mixed reviews from fans and critics. While some Consider it a masterpiece with beautifully crafted songs that convey important messages, others have found it to be a disappointing and forgettable experience. The album showcases a different perspective and sound, but it leaves listeners wanting more. The album is praised for its poetic lyrics and the messages it conveys, including themes of faith, self-belief, and finding one's own direction. Fans of a-ha's music will appreciate the band's signature style of electro-pop with a Scandinavian flair. Morten's angelic voice is also highlighted and brings joy to the listening experience. However, there are critics who feel that True North lacks catchy and engaging tracks, describing it as "in-one-ear-out-the-other" music. They were left unimpressed and suggested that a-ha should Consider retiring. The album is also criticized for its association with a movie release, with frustration expressed over limited showings and delayed shipping. Despite the mixed reviews, a-ha fans continue to support the band and appreciate their talent. The CD is Considered a must-listen for those who admire the group's distinctive sound and lead vocals.
