Rothco Handheld Flashlights 488 Editorial Review
The angle head flashlight under review presents itself as a budget-friendly option that caters primarily to those who need a basic, functional light source without the expectations of high-end build quality or brightness. Priced under $6, it is frequently highlighted for its affordability, which many customers appreciate, especially when they have surplus C batteries. A Consistent theme throughout customer reviews is the flashlight's resemblance to genuine military models; however, it's essential to note that it is Constructed from plastic, which some users indicate might not withstand rough handling. The flashlight boasts a 3-position switch and comes with colored filters (red, blue, green, yellow, and clear), although several customers noted the filters and lens quality could be improved, often citing scratches and fogging. Users found the flashlight's smaller size practical, and those who were eager to test an angle head design were generally satisfied with its functionality. Some reviewers appreciated the ability to modify the flashlight, such as upgrading the bulb to an LED for better brightness. However, there's a Consensus that the product is primarily a novelty item or a good option as a backup light or for children's use—perfect for casual scenarios like camping or providing light in non-critical situations. Overall, while the Construction materials and quality may leave room for improvement, the flashlight does fulfill its primary purpose as a basic light source, especially given its price point. **
