Lincoln is a powerful historical drama that depicts President Abraham Lincoln's efforts to pass the 13th amendment to abolish slavery during the Civil War. Daniel Day-Lewis delivers a remarkable performance as Lincoln, and the supporting cast, including Tommy Lee Jones and Jared Harris, also give outstanding portrayals of their characters. The film provides a glimpse into the personal life of Lincoln, portraying him as a dedicated father and a capable president who had to navigate through difficult times in American history. The plot is engaging and the pace of the movie is appropriate for a story of this nature. Overall, Lincoln is an excellent film that appeals to American history lovers and moviegoers who appreciate quality storytelling.
