The Milwaukee Instruments MP810 Dosing Pump is advertised as a product that includes a pH controller; however, it only includes the pump itself. This has led to displeased customers who felt that they were misled by the advertisement. Nevertheless, the product seems to work well and can be calibrated by timing the output with a measuring cup and using a digital timer to control dosing. The pump can be used as a standalone device, but the electrode should be immersed in a mixing area. The pump has a maximum head height of 50 feet and can pump water at a flow rate that cannot be controlled without the use of a timer/controller. Some customers have expressed discontent with the noise level of the pump, which can be heard over other aquarium equipment. In short, the Milwaukee Instruments MP810 Dosing Pump is a well-priced and effective product, but the included advertisement is misleading.
