What is the weight capacity?
Respuesta: Don’t know for sure, but I think you’ll probably be fine. Very sturdy construction. The legs are solid metal and the body is solid, real wood. We’ve been very happy with unit. -

Is the wood sanded down smooth?
Respuesta: Fairly smooth. Not heavily varnished though. -

Is the top treated for drink and/or food spills?
Respuesta: Yes, but to be safe you would likely want to apply a clear lacquer yourself. -

How thick is the top base? Is the center thinner than the edges look?
Respuesta: 1.75 inches, all throughout the table.
