Kids & Family Editorial Review
Hayao Miyazaki’s 2013 film, “The Wind Rises,” is a beautiful addition from Studio Ghibli. Miyazaki portrays a fictionalized version of the life of Jiro Horikoshi, the inventor of the Mitsubishi A6M Zero. The story provides a dynamic portrayal of the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, depicting vivid depictions of wind to invoke Jiro’s sense of aeronautics. The story is methodical with beautiful dream sequences, making the movie an excellent watch for adults. The Steelbook edition is a must-have for serious anime watchers. Customers have found the case beautiful, and the quality is great. While the movie is captivating, it may not be suitable for younger audiences, given its slow pacing and fairly mature themes.
