DVD Editorial Review
Becker: The Complete Series is a comedy television collection featuring the iconic Ted Danson as the acerbic yet compassionate Dr. John Becker, who serves a local community. The series, consisting of 17 discs, captures the essence of 90s sitcom humor with sharp writing and a talented ensemble cast including Hattie Winston and Shawnee Smith. While viewers might notice the aging NTSC video quality, the compelling storylines and hilarious character dynamics more than compensate for it. Many appreciate Becker's unique personality, which allows for both comedic moments and unexpected depth. Additionally, fans express a desire for improved packaging and a higher quality release in the future, yet the show's nostalgic charm ultimately shines through, making it a worthy collection for sitcom lovers.
