After installing the i7, the user found that it idled at 35-36°C and ran at 65°C under load. The i7 ran at 4.2 GHz without any alterations, which the user was pleased with -- they noted that it performed better than the i3. The user did experience a few problems with the initial installation, such as freeze-ups, lockups and unannounced reboots, but they cleared the BIOS and added a fan to get better airflow to solve the issue. Overall, the user was delighted with how the i7 processor performed.
