The blade is made of sturdy, non-rust 1095 high carbon steel, 0.169" thick, with a hardness of 58-60 HRC, making it ideal for cutting wood, aluminum, rope, plastic, or paper without going dull quickly. The package includes a ferro rod, scraper, and paracord, making it an excellent gift for hiking or camping enthusiasts. The customer service is fantastic, and the seller is very responsive to concerns and issues. One minor drawback is that the knife is currently made in China, despite the seller's hopes to make them in the US in the future. However, the quality of the product remains high.
