ARB Air Compressors & Inflators CKMP12 Editorial Review
The ARB CKMP12 Portable Air Compressor is highly regarded by customers for its size, quality, and performance. Users have praised its ability to efficiently and quickly inflate tires, with one customer mentioning that it can inflate four 35-inch tires from 20 to 38 pounds in less than three minutes. The compressor also features a pressure shut-off switch, making it convenient to use when checking tire pressure or moving between tires. Customers have also noted that the compressor performs well in hot temperatures without overheating. The battery clips, hose, and carry case are all of good quality. However, one customer experienced a hose failure, where the hose melted under the anti-kink connector while inflating a tire. ARB customer service promptly sent a replacement hose, but the customer plans to add an additional metal-sleeved air hose for added heat resistance. Another customer mentioned that the case is bulky and advises purchasing an under-hood install kit for a more streamlined setup. Additionally, some customers have found the alligator clips to be too small and not fitting over their battery terminal attachments properly. Overall, the ARB CKMP12 Portable Air Compressor is highly recommended for its quality Construction and efficient performance. However, it is suggested to keep a spare hose handy and Consider purchasing an under-hood install kit, especially for larger vehicles.
