Drama Editorial Review
The Whale is a movie that depicts the life of Charlie, an obese man who lives alone in his apartment. The film captures moments of his life and explores his relationships with different characters, including a teenage daughter he abandoned and a Mormon missionary. Brendan Fraser delivers an outstanding performance as Charlie, portraying his character’s pain and sadness in a moving and convincing manner. The movie also highlights the importance of self-forgiveness and acceptance, as well as the role of human connection in healing and overcoming past trauma. While some viewers may find the film depressing and dark, others will appreciate its raw portrayal of emotions and realistic storyline.
