Meridiem Games Games 5055957703738 Editorial Review
** Mortal Shell Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch** Mortal Shell Complete Edition has garnered a highly polarized reception among players, primarily due to its performance on the Nintendo Switch. For those familiar with the Dark Souls franchise, the game initially offers a promising experience, complete with an atmospheric setting and engaging gameplay mechanics, including a unique hardening feature that players appreciate. Many reviewers have praised the game for its solid core mechanics and interesting mechanics reminiscent of beloved souls-like games. However, the euphoria quickly wanes as players progress deeper into the experience. A significant number of users have reported numerous visual and performance bugs, particularly in late-game scenarios. These glitches severely impact gameplay, with reports of the game becoming unplayable, especially when it comes to accessing DLC content. Players have encountered issues such as memory leaks that require restarting the game and even complete crashes when attempting to enter crucial areas needed to complete the DLC. The precarious state of the port has led to strong frustration among users, with some players feeling that the developers hurried the game to market without adequately addressing the myriad of issues. Overall, while Mortal Shell has the potential to offer an exhilarating experience, the problematic performance on the Switch has left many players disappointed and underwhelmed, ultimately feeling that it does not live up to its reputation from other platforms. The desire for fixes and updates is palpable among the community, but as it stands, many have opted to return the game rather than persevere through the frustrating circumstances. **
