- MedVance Super Absorbent Wound Dressing: Designed for wounds with significant exudate, this advanced absorbent non adhesive silicone tape features a superabsorbent gelling fiber core that absorbs and retains high volumes of wound fluid. The hydrophilic wound contact layer of this 6”x6” pressure ulcer dressing bandage with a 5x5 pad helps provide a non-adhesive interface with the wound bed while transmitting fluid into the dressing. A distribution layer helps spread exudate throughout the pad to maximize absorption capacity, while the semi-occlusive backing helps prevent fluid and microbial strike-through. These silicone dressings for wounds support an appropriate moist wound-healing environment and feature a highly conformable design for patient comfort. Available with or without a silicone adhesive border, it provides a practical option for managing highly exuding acute or chronic wounds like pressure ulcers and 1st/2nd degree burns.
