Autodesk Maya 2020 Basics Guide is a great book for beginners who want to learn the fundamentals of Autodesk Maya. The book is recommended for students who want a detailed explanation of the basics of Maya. The book is a great companion for people who have doubts on certain parts while learning the program. Although the book covers a lot of great stuff, it skips the Arnold renderer and the new Bifrost graph editor for VFX which are features specific to Maya 2020. The book is a good foundation for learning any version of Maya but it does not focus on what is new for Maya 2020 specifically.
