Trumpeter Watercraft Kits TRU05912 Editorial Review
The Trumpeter 05912 1/144 German Navy U Boat VIIC Plastic Model has garnered a favorable response from enthusiasts and hobbyists alike. Builders appreciate the impressive level of detail that the model offers, with features so refined that even each rivet is distinctly raised, enhancing the overall authenticity of the U Boat representation. The inclusion of a photo-etch sheet further adds to the model's quality, providing more options for customization and realism. Although one user expressed a concern regarding the scale—pointing out that the model measures approximately 18.5 inches versus the expected 12 inches for a 1/144 scale—it hasn't overly detracted from the general enjoyment of the kit. Long-time modelers have found this to be a refreshing change from their usual builds, which adds to the model's versatility and appeal within the community. Overall, this model finds its place as a solid choice for both returning builders and new hobbyists looking to dive into the world of naval modeling.
