dbx Stage & Studio Cables Editorial Review

The cable tester has received a largely positive reception from users, who appreciate its robust Construction and versatility. Customers have highlighted its ability to test a wide variety of cables, making it a valuable tool for those engaged in audio-visual installations or other wiring-related hobbies. The tester's standout feature is its ability to split into two parts, allowing users to test longer cables installed in walls, which enhances its practicality on-site. Many users have found it superior to other less expensive hand-held testers, citing its quality build and unique features as justifications for its price. Additionally, customers have noted the tester's clear visual indicators that help identify wiring configurations, such as straight-through or twisted pairs. While it performs well across different types of connections, some users have opted to purchase additional test leads and adapters for broader functionality, further enhancing their satisfaction. However, the bulkiness and weight of the tester have been mentioned as points of concern, indicating that while it is a highly functional tool, it may not be the most portable option available. Despite the absence of a protective case, many users have managed to create their storage solutions, which aids in transporting the tester along with its accessories. Overall, this cable tester is highly recommended for professional use and is described as a must-have tool for any technician dealing with complex wiring scenarios. **
