English edition Axel Smith Editorial Review
The Woodpecker Method, published by Quality Chess UK LLP, is an engaging chess training book that offers a structured approach to improving one's tactical abilities through repeated practice. Many reviews highlight the well-chosen exercises and the clear initial instructions, making it especially appealing for players looking to deepen their understanding of tactics. While the book is recommended for players above 1500 Elo, newcomers may find value in the initial chapters. The print quality is also noted positively, ensuring durability during practice sessions. However, there are some critiques regarding the challenge level of the puzzles, with a few suggesting that the method could benefit from a more varied approach to spaced repetition.
