BSEED Switches & Dimmers LIN1-11W Editorial Review
The BSEED Smart Light Switch has garnered a mix of feedback from Consumers, highlighting both the strengths and weaknesses of the product. Users appreciate the seamless integration with Alexa and Google Home, as well as the effective performance of the Smart Life app in managing the switch's functionality. Many found the installation process straightforward, especially for those familiar with electrical work. Clear instructions helped users connect the switches to their WiFi network, allowing for quick setup. However, the product is not without its challenges. Several reviewers warned that individuals lacking electrical skills should seek professional help, particularly due to the necessity of having a neutral wire for proper functionality. The switch's depth can also pose an issue for installation in certain back boxes, requiring additional spacers to fit properly. Moreover, some users expressed frustration over the LED indicator on the switch that remains lit, even when the switch is turned off, which detracted from the overall experience. In terms of connectivity, while many found setup easy, some faced difficulties with connectivity in remote locations due to WiFi range limitations. The continued reliance on 2.4GHz WiFi, while effective, was also noted as a limitation, with suggestions for future versions to include 5GHz compatibility to improve user experience. Overall, the BSEED Smart Light Switch is seen as a solid choice offering a reasonable price point, efficient functionality, and a great app experience, though careful Consideration is needed regarding installation requirements and potential connectivity issues. ###
